Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
These terms govern your use of SEObotly. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read section 4 (credits) and section 5 (acceptable use) carefully — they describe what you are buying and what will get your account limited.
Operator. The Service is operated by SEObotly. Contact:support@seobotly.com. Payments are processed by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record; their terms govern the payment transaction itself.
1. The Service
SEObotly analyses websites for technical search-engine issues, provides keyword and search visibility data, and — where you connect it — combines this with your own Google Search Console metrics. We provide analysis and recommendations. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic level or commercial outcome; search engines are controlled by third parties and their behaviour changes without notice.
SEObotly is self-serve software, not a marketing service. Everything the Service does is performed automatically by software that you operate yourself from your account. We do not act as an agency or consultancy on your behalf, we do not sell backlinks, traffic, clicks, followers or reviews, we do not publish anything to your site without your approval, and we operate no affiliate, referral or revenue-sharing scheme. Any change to your website is made by you, or by the Service only after you explicitly approve it.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old and have authority to accept these terms.
- Tell us promptly at support@seobotly.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Sites you may analyse
You may run crawls only against domains you have verified through the Service, using a DNS TXT record or a connected Search Console property. You confirm that you own or are authorised to analyse those domains. Attempting to bypass this verification is a material breach of these terms.
Competitor research features that use third-party search data do not crawl the competitor’s site and do not require verification, because they read publicly available search results.
4. Plans and credits
How credits work
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits. Operations consume credits in proportion to what they cost us to perform — a crawled page costs a fraction of a credit, an AI-generated article costs considerably more. The current cost of each operation is shown in the application.
- Credits are reserved before an operation begins. If the operation uses less than reserved, the difference is returned to your balance. If it fails, the full reservation is returned.
- Credits reset at the start of each calendar month. Unused credits do not carry over and have no cash value.
- When your allowance runs out, new resource-intensive operations stop. Your existing data stays accessible — we do not lock you out of reports you have already produced.
- Plans also carry rate, concurrency and daily spend limits. These protect service stability and are listed in the application.
Payment
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in the currency shown at checkout.
- Prices exclude taxes unless stated otherwise; applicable taxes are added at checkout.
- Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata for the remainder of the period.
- Downgrades take effect at the next billing period. You keep the credits and site slots of the plan you paid for until the current period ends, and the remainder of that period isnot refunded or credited — you receive the month you paid for in full.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features after notifying you. Your data is not deleted during a reasonable grace period.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time; your plan then runs until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not renewed. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods, except where required by law — including the statutory withdrawal rights of consumers in the EU and UK. If the Service is materially broken and we cannot fix it, contact us and we will find a fair resolution.
The first payment is covered by a money-back guarantee, described in full in ourRefund Policy. It runs for 14 days from your first finished report and is available while less than 20% of the month's credits have been used. Credits are consumed on use and are not refundable once spent, because each one is a request we have already paid a third-party provider for.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Crawl or analyse domains you do not own or are not authorised to analyse.
- Attempt to circumvent credit, rate, concurrency or spend limits, including by creating multiple accounts for that purpose.
- Resell or redistribute raw data from the Service as a competing data product.
- Use the Service to generate content intended to deceive search engines or users, or that is unlawful, defamatory or infringing.
- Interfere with the Service’s operation, security or other customers’ use of it.
- Reverse engineer the Service except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable by law.
If we detect abuse, our first response is to slow the account down and contact you, not to close it. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to suspension or termination.
6. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties, including Google APIs and our search data provider. Their availability, data accuracy and terms are outside our control. Your use of Google Search Console through the Service is also subject to Google’s own terms. We are not liable for outages, changes or data gaps originating with those providers.
7. Your content and our content
You keep all rights to your websites, your data and any content you generate through the Service. You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the Service for you — for example, to fetch your pages, store audit results and produce reports.
We keep all rights to the Service itself: the software, interface, documentation and our methodology. Reports you generate are yours to use commercially, including with your own clients.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available and will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee. Crawls interrupted by maintenance are re-queued, and credits for work that did not complete are returned.
9. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue or lost data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Consumers keep their statutory rights.
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that materially breaches these terms, that we are legally required to act on, or that presents a security risk — with notice where circumstances allow. On termination you may export your data for30 days, after which it may be deleted.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’notice by email or in the application. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel before they take effect.
12. Third-party attributions
Country flag artwork shown in the application comes fromTwemoji, licensed under CC-BY 4.0. We ship it as a web font so that flags render on operating systems that do not include flag glyphs.
